7-5-11 CVS: Extreme savings of 55% and 78%

Pick up two July 3 Sunday newspapers from QuikTrip (buy 2 for $3 compared to $2 each everywhere else) and get the Proctor and Gamble coupon booklet inside. You can use many of these coupons now at CVS - or wait until more items are on sale. Here's what I purchased today. More savings will be posted later this week as I get organized.

• 2 Head and Shoulders shampoo - regularly $6.79 each on sale for $4.99 each less $4.99  for buy one get one newspaper coupon from the July 3 Proctor and Gamble newspaper insert, $1 CVS extra care coupon, out of pocket $4.99 plus earned $1 extra care credit
• Used CVS green tag (5 uses earns $1 CVS in-store coupon)
• Total price $4.94, savings of $10.78, 55% extreme savings plus earned $3 in extra care bucks for transaction $2 shown below

Transaction #2

• 2 Gillette Body Wash - regularly $4.99 each, on sale for $3 each, buy one get one coupon from the July 3 Sunday newspaper, 2 for $3 less $1.50 CVS extra care in-store coupon
• 2 Old Spice body wash, regularly $4.49 each, on sale for $3 each, buy one get one coupon from June 3 Red Plum newspaper
• 1 Gillette Fusion razor, regularly $9.99, on sale for $5.99, less $4 newspaper coupon from the July 3 Sunday newspaper, out of pocket $1.99
• 2 Secret deodorants, regularly $3.29 less $1 each CVS care credit bucks less $1 coupon on 2 from July 3 Sunday newspaper
• Used $3 in extra care bucks from transaction #1
• Used $5 in extra care bucks from quarterly reward (be sure to sign up for the CVS Extra Care program)
• Total cost $7.06, savings of $30.94, extreme savings of 78%
