3-5 CVS: No coupons, still saved 74%

Lesson learned: always have your coupons with you! I stopped at CVS at 41st and Harvard today and found tremendous unadvertised savings including 75% off many pet supplies. I saved 74% without coupons.

Boss is a happy pup enjoying his toys and chews, Harley will be a happy pup when she gets her treats, I'm a happy extreme shopper!
  • CVS special, 10 for 10. Although you don't have to buy 10 items, I wanted to and mixed and matched several items including 5 boxes of brownie cake mix, 3 small containers of Emerald honey roasted nuts, 1 bag of Emerald trail mix, and 1 small bag of ginger snap cookies - $10
  • Several makeup and manicure items were 75% off - I got 2 Borghese nail polish regularly $7.99 each on sale for $1.99 each, 1 Orly glosser regularly $7.99 on sale for $1.99, 1 bottle of hair conditioner regularly 3.99 on sale for .99, and eye makeup remover bottle regularly $2.50, 75% off for 62-cents, and 3 small bags of gummy candy regularly $1.29 on sale for 32-cents each,
  • Several dog and cat treats on clearance for 75% off including 4 bags of Milkbone chews, regularly $3.49 each on sale for $1.12 each, and 2 boxes of Arm and Hammer litter deodorizer regularly $3.69 each on sale for 92-cents each, 1 knotted rope toy regularly $3.99 on sale for 99-cents, 3 packages of Natural Rawhide Munchy Sticks regularly $3 each on sale for 74-cents each, 1 small chew toy regularly $3 on sale for 74-cents
  • 1 package of Country Ham dog treats at 50% off, regularly $9.99 on sale for $4.99
  • A few grocery items marked 25% off including 1 box of Kellogg's pop tarts regularly $3.79 on sale for $2.84 (which is closer to grocery store prices), 2 Old El Paso items including refried beans and green chiles   
  • On the shampoo aisle I found Dove extra volume conditioner at 75% off, regularly $4.79 on sale for $1.19 each.
  • Best find of all was a heating pad regularly $35.49 on sale for $5 . . . and it qualifies as a tax-deductible flex med program item
  • Total pre-tax price was $42.36, saved $109.51, 74% extreme savings 

Skechers - up to 75% off

The online store 6pm.com has Skechers shoes on clearance for 50-75% off. Get ready for summer with cute flip flops at huge savings.

Estate sales this week

  • Estate Sales Plus - Wed through Saturday, March 2-5. Weekdays 9-5 and Saturday 9-4. Location is 2439 East 54th Street in Tulsa near 54th and South Lewis. From Lewis, turn east on 54th street. Follow the bright yellow signs. Lots of woodworking, tools, and hardware at this one.
  • Estate Sale Services - Thursday through Saturday, March 3-5, 10 am - 5 pm, cash only. 3507 S. Lewis in Tulsa. Living estate of Paul and Sheila Brunton. No parking on Lewis so please park on 35th or other side streets. This is a 16-room Tulsa mansion - would be worth the trip just to see the house!
  • Estate Sales by Allen - Thursday through Saturday, March 3-5, 10 am - 6 pm. 2807 E. 48 St in Tulsa. This is the estate of Tulsa artist Pat Malone whose watercolors sell at M. A. Doran, Utica Square shows, and in galleries across the country. 
  • Estate Sale by Caring Transitions of Tulsa - Thursday through Saturday, March 3-5, 9 am - 5 pm. 405 North Oklahoma St in Pryor. This company includes sale photos on their website.
